Album: Shop Like You Mean It
Shop Like You Mean It by Alves is a officesoft album with it’s own unique differentiation of mallsoft.
This album takes you in the perspective of the modern corporate man and his consumerist needs and ideals. You can really hear the bliss nature of the corporate world in the track Manhattan Connection.
You can just type away in your office computer while listening to this one track on repeat. It has a fast pace beat and uses bongos, rattles, flutes and a nice bass.
Up next we have the track “Luxury Main Theme” , in this one it’s a little more slower and relaxed. I feel you would play this at the end of the night of work. It has drums, synthesizers, piano and other stuff I’m not sure.
In “Start Up” is where you get some stubble office noises like windows error ping. As you progress through the album you get to hear more and more of common office sounds.
For example In “Excel” thats where the it really gets into officesoft! We have telephone calls, faxes, printers, typing and an overall busy office making our corporate masters proud.
I feel that should be the start of the album to get the listener conditioned of how the album will be. All in all is a good album for those of you that are fans of mallsoft you will enjoy this album.
As a side note the last tract “SHäpiNG” feels like it belongs in a retail setting not in a corporate office.
